Python is a genus of pythons containing seven species from Africa and Asia. They include the reticulated python (P. reticulatus), the Indian python (P. molurus), the African rock python (P. sebae), the royal python (P. regius), the Angolan python (P. anchietae), the blood python (P.curtus) and the Timor python (P. timoriensis). All species have heat-sensitive pits.
